The “Texas South Plains Honor Flight" is an organization committed to sending veterans to Washington, DC to visit the memorials built to honor their service and sacrifice. Our effort focuses on WWII veterans as the primary group with secondary emphasis on Korean and Viet Nam veterans. Due to the senior age of these heroes coupled with the prediction that nationally we are losing hundreds daily, we are committed to do all within our power to make this dream a reality.

Military members nation-wide confront a multitude of problems during their careers, the last thing they need to worry about is their pet's care during their service commitments. Dogs On Deployment is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit which provides an online network for service members to search for volunteers who are willing to board their pets during their owner's service commitments. Dogs on Deployment promotes responsible, life-long pet ownership by military pet owners by advocating for military pet owner rights, providing educational resources and granting financial assistance for military pet owners during times of emergency. Elk Institute for Psychological Health & Performance

The Elk Institute specializes in treating psychological trauma in the military population but is also equipped to address general psychological health issues. The Institute is a Tampa based organization established to provide education, consultation, and treatment to the military and veteran community, at no cost to the service member.

The Warrior Connection

The Warrior Connection (TWC) provides residential retreats and services to Veterans and their families to heal the invisible injuries incurred while in uniform. TWC offers specialized programs for military men, women, and their families. Aside from a small commitment fee, programs and services provided by TWC are free and open to Veterans and families of all eras. The Warrior Connection is rehabilitating PTSD - breaking the cycle so the healing begins and can continue.

Honor Flight Austin

Transport America’s veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. Honor Flight Austin honors World War II, Korean and Vietnam Veterans of the U.S. armed services for all their sacrifices by locating, selecting, and transporting groups of Veterans to and from Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect upon U.S. war memorials. Honor Flight Austin is organized and operated exclusively for the purposes specified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code 1986, or corresponding provisions of any subsequent federal tax laws.
