The Community Action Center of Northfield's mission is to promote a healthy, caring and just community for all people through resources, advocacy and volunteer effort. We provide services to our neighbors in need and make a difference in the lives of families and individuals. We provide basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, employment readiness and healthcare enrollment assistance; we engage volunteers in significant work, neighbors helping neighbors.

Storehouse Inc

We are New Mexico’s largest food pantry. More and more of Albuquerque’s working poor are struggling to feed themselves and their families. Money is tight for everyone, but one illness, a reduction of work hours, or any setback can leave a family wondering where their next meal is coming from or how they will get clothing or shoes. We provide FREE food and clothing to people who are struggling. We are in constant need of donations of money, food or clothing. We rely entirely on donations and volunteers in our mission.

Founded in 2003, Advocates for Community Wellness (A4CW). is to promote a culture of health through education of healthy lifestyles, fitness and nutrition. We seek to raise awareness, reduce health disparities and risk factors linked to chronic diseases in underserved communities.

Development in Gardening (DIG) is improving the nutrition and livelihoods of some of the world's most uniquely vulnerable people by teaching them to plant restorative gardens that grow health, wealth, and a sense of belonging.

Urban Food Alliance Nonprofit

Urban Food Alliance strives to alleviate food insecurity in local communities. We help feed the hungry in several ways:1) We provide warm meals at shelters and in places where homeless people gather. 2) We reach out to local Social Services departments to identify where meals are needed and work with them to organize collection drives to supply community food banks and soup kitchens.3) We create alliances with schools, community service groups, restaurants and other organizations to bring volunteers and resources together.4) In the long term, we hope to offer food education programs that will help people shop for and prepare healthy foods on a budget.

The GOD'S CHILD Project

The GOD'S CHILD Project's mission is "to break the bitter chains of poverty through education, housing and healthcare." While GOD'S CHILD is rooted in education and health-care, we aim to support the communities we serve at every level of development. Through our wide range of programs, we help children and families living in extreme poverty to meet their basic needs and find a restored sense of hope, self-worth and human dignity. PRIMARY GOALS TO: meet the basic needs of low-income individuals and families; offer opportunities for individuals and families to achieve greater levels of strength, independence, and self-sufficiency; develop and implement strategies to prevent poverty in our communities; and leverage community support, service, and volunteerism.
