Founded in 1964 by a group of concerned Christians, the Good News Rescue Mission has offered food, shelter and clothing, as well as the Good News of Jesus Christ to thousands of homeless and poor men, women and children in the northern California area. The Mission also has a work search program, free medical clinic, and a residential alcohol and drug addiction recovery program with transitional support.
