Lasting Self Reliance is achieved as families obtain sufficient knowledge and education, manage resources wisely, and prepare for the future so that they will continue to thrive after our support ends. Sustainable Farming is practiced by smallholder farm families as they plan, plant, and harvest food for themselves and their livestock, while building human capacity to recognize and enhance the efficient use of their natural resources. Nutrition & Income are the core benefits to smallholder farm families as they grow and produce foodstuffs that provide for a nutritionally balanced diet on an economically sustainable basis. Scientifically Proven Methodology guides the implementation of agricultural best practices with our smallholder farm families and on our demonstration farms. We also support further scientific research through partnerships with universities, governments, and other non-governmental organizations (NGO's). Mutual Respect is the goal of our in-country agronomists, nutritionists, and animal scientists as they interact with smallholder farm families, seeking to understand the "why" behind traditional practices, and always exploring new possibilities. Training & Education in sustainable farming, nutrition, food preparation, and hygiene are key to ensuring that lasting self reliance is achieved by smallholder farm families. Honoring Culture means that our programs work within the local cultural framework to empower and educate smallholder farm families without imposing an outside culture on them. Nor Luyce provides teenage girls from orphanages and low income families with a one on one mentoring relationship presenting an opportunity to have a role model and to learn more from their mentors. Our mission at Springs of Hope Foundation, Kenya is to care for the Rift Valley region's growing number of families coping with the devastating reality of Sub Sahara Africa's HIV/AIDS pandemic. Most often the young children are left with very elderly grandparents who are unable to care for them. These children are cared for in our orphanage located in Molo, Kenya where we provide our children the best opportunity to grow up and thrive in a loving family environment. Through donations we provide homeless Kenyan orphans a nurturing, loving family home environment to grow up in and the knowledge that they will have the opportunity to reach their full potential, have a better chance in life and become productive citizens of the world.

Corals for Conservation (C4C) addresses poverty-driven coral reef decline by developing sustainable, community-appropriate enterprises designed to shift the burden away from over-used and depleted fisheries resources. C4C promotes "coral gardeners" as new profession for resorts, providing employment and added value to the industry while contributing to coral reef conservation and restoration. We recognize that if people and industry are major parts of the problem then they are also major parts of the solution.
