PBN was founded to provide a link between the client and legal aid community needs and the attorneys who want to help. We remove barriers and provide a support structure to make it easier for volunteer attorneys to help low-income people receive critical legal services. Since its founding, PBN has expanded access to justice for clients and access to volunteerism for attorneys and other professionals interested in supporting our mission and vision.

The Ali Forney Center was founded in 2002 in memory of Ali Forney, a homeless gender-nonconforming youth who was forced to live on the streets, where they were tragically murdered. Too many of these youth are rejected by their families and the broader community and are thus forced to survive on the streets, facing the dangers of violence, HIV infection, and homophobia. Committed to saving the lives of LGBTQ+ young people, the organization's mission is to protect them from the harms of homelessnessJuly-15- and empower them with the tools needed to live independently through services that can help them thrive.

The Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice is the only philanthropic organization working exclusively to advance LGBTQI human rights around the globe. KidSafe’s mission is to engage community groups, individuals and agencies to work together to improve our community’s prevention of and response to child abuse and neglect. We envision a Vermont in which every child grows up healthy and able to live up to their full potential.

The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program recruits, trains, and supports volunteer advocates as a powerful voice for the best interest of abused and neglected children during the court process, in order to help every child ultimately thrive in a safe and permanent home and complete their education.

PEI Kids’ mission is to promote and maintain a safe environment for all children. PEI Kids works with the child, family and caregiver to provide prevention, intervention and advocacy programs relating to personal safety, sexual abuse and the overall well-being of the child.
