The Hastings Center addresses social and ethical issues in health care, science, and technology. Through our projects and publications, The Hastings Center shapes ideas that influence key opinion leaders, including health policy-makers, regulators, health care professionals, lawyers, legislators, and judges. Our analyses also influence professional practice: from end-of-life care to psychiatric practice to immigrant health care, we have helped to shape the standards of practice adopted by physicians, nurses, and lawyers. Founded in 1969 by philosopher Daniel Callahan and psychoanalyst Willard Gaylin, The Hastings Center is the oldest independent, nonpartisan, interdisciplinary research institute of its kind in the world.

The Rose Kennedy Greenway is a mile-and-a-half of contemporary parks in the heart of Boston. The Greenway, a roof garden atop a highway tunnel, connects people and the city with beauty and fun. The non-profit Conservancy maintains, programs, and improves the Greenway on behalf of the public and in partnership with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Barnstable Land Trust is a non-profit, member-supported conservation and land preservation organization. We acquire open space to protect the natural resources of the Town of Barnstable. BLT holds wildlife habitat, scenic views, wetlands, woodlands, sensitive watershed parcels, forest and other valuable open space in its natural state for the benefit of the community. Founded in 1983, BLT provides a private alternative for land preservation. As of May 2017, BLT has completed 156 land-saving initiatives and preserved 1,082 acres.

To promote the arts and sciences on Long Beach Island and in the surrounding communities by enlightening, educating, and stimulating thought and discussion about current trends in the arts and sciences and by providing broad educational and cultural programs for all ages.

The Harris Center for Conservation Education is dedicated to promoting understanding and respect for our natural environment through education of all ages, direct protection and exemplary stewardship of the region’s natural resources, conservation research, and programs that encourage active participation in the great outdoors.

They are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Farmington, CT that seeks to preserve open space in the community. Established in 1971, The Farmington Land Trust has a single mission: to protect open space in perpetuity.

Food Link is a community organization that aspires to have a food system without waste, in which everyone has enough. We rescue surplus fresh food that would otherwise be wasted and deliver it to community organizations serving people in need throughout Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts.

The Northeast Earth Coalition works at community level to protect the environment, promote sustainability, food security and to support the work of community activists.

The mission of The Clarendon Hills Park Foundation is to enhance the quality of life in our community by seeking grants and donations to be used to enhance our Parks and open spaces throughout our Village. We have no paid staff nor do we receive any tax funding. All members of the foundation are volunteers who donate their time in support of our mission.

The Land Trust Alliance is the voice of the land trust community. As the national leader in policy, standards and education, we work passionately to support land trusts across America so they can save more land and better serve their communities.The Alliance is committed to building the constituency for conservation. Our team focuses on building the communication capacity of land trusts while using the Alliance’s communication channels to build public support and political influence in favor of private land conservation. At the same time, we work to elevate and promote the work of the Alliance and its programs to our members, funders and other key stakeholders.

Charleston Waterkeeper's mission is to protect and restore Charleston's waterways for our community and for future generations. We do this through our data-driven programs, advocacy campaigns, and promoting wise stewardship decisions through education and outreach activities. Our overarching goal is to protect the public's fundamental right clean, healthy water.
