Panthera

Mission: Ensure a future for wild cats and the vast landscapes on which they depend. Vision: A world where wild cats thrive in healthy natural and developed landscapes that sustain people and biodiversity. Panthera is the only organization in the world that is devoted exclusively to the conservation of the world’s 38 wild cat species and their ecosystems. Utilizing the expertise of the world’s premier cat biologists, Panthera develops and implements global strategies for the most imperiled large cats: tigers, lions, jaguars, snow leopards, cheetahs, pumas, and leopards. Representing the most comprehensive effort of its kind, Panthera partners with local and international NGOs, scientific institutions, local communities, governments around the globe, and citizens who want to help ensure a future for wild cats. Panthera’s grants program, the Small Cat Action Fund (SCAF), additionally supports conservation and research initiatives on many of the 31 smaller wild cat species around the globe.

Friends Of The Elephant Seal

The Friends of the Elephant Seal (FES), a non-profit organization established in 1997, is dedicated to educating people about elephant seals and other marine life and teaching stewardship for the ocean along the central coast of California. As a cooperating association with the California State Park, FES collaborates with the California Department of Parks and Recreation to address issues of the expanding Piedras Blancas northern elephant seal colony. Board members and over 100 docents/volunteer guides are uniquely positioned to contribute to education, science, research and wildlife conservation efforts relating to the largest mainland colony, estimated at 25,000 northern elephant seals.

New England Wildlife Center

New England Wildlife Centers (NEWCS) is a nonprofit wildlife hospital and education center located in Weymouth and Barnstable, MA. We treat sick, injured and orphaned wildlife from Metro-Boston to Cape Cod and the Islands.We give animals and people a place to thrive. We strive to be a safe haven for wild animals caught in human created crosshairs and for our community. Our environmental and science education gives students the tools to be part of the solution.
