To eliminate pet overpopulation, ensure the care and protection of pet companions and improve the quality of life for economically challenged, disadvantaged and underserved pet guardians by providing referral and financial assistance for spay/neuter and veterinary medical procedures together with other animal/human bond enriching programs.

Mission:  To instill respect, kindness, and compassion for animals as community values.\r\n\r\nPurpose:  To prevent cruelty to animals, to promote animal welfare, to educate the public about the humane care and treatment of animals, to increase public awareness of the companion animal overpopulation issue and to provide solutions, and to provide high quality shelter, medical, and adoption services for animals when necessary.

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue group dedicated to the care and adoption of cats and kittens.

The organization's mission is to provide for the foster care, adoption and placement of rescued cats and kittens into permanent homes, to care for homeless cats, to educate the public on the need to spay and neuter pets, to prevent cruelty to animals

Our mission is to make our community a better place for animals and in return give people the wonderful everlasting companionship of a loving dog. Our strategic focus areas to accomplish this include: helping the dogs in the county animal control facilities and adopting them into caring, responsible homes; providing education to the community; endeavoring to reduce animal overpopulation; and serving as an advocate for animals and being their voice. We continuously strive to promote dogs as being members of the family, not property.

Rock Creek Cats Inc. is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to helping less fortunate felines in the D.C. area.

Grateful Greyhounds is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to educating the public on ex-racing greyhounds all sighthounds including Spanish galgos and podencos and to promote the adoption of these dogs as pets.

ONE STEP CLOSER ANIMAL RESCUE, INC. IS A VOLUNTEER-BASED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT SAVES DOGS/CATS FROM SHELTERS AND PLACES THEM IN FOREVER HOMES WHERE THEY CAN BE LOVED AND CARED FOR.
