The Half Percent Project was created to educate foundations and philanthropists on the plight of animals and the need to consider animal welfare as part of their giving portfolio. We help animal welfare organizations improve their structure, governance, and operations and obtain access to funds. We will provide the “playbook” to transformation and funds to support this. We want to encourage philanthropists and foundations to direct a half percent of their annual giving towards supporting animal welfare.

The Pollinator Partnership is the largest organization in the world dedicated exclusively to the protection and promotion of pollinators and their ecosystems. Birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals that pollinate plants are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food. They also sustain our ecosystems and produce our natural resources by helping plants reproduce. Without the actions of pollinators agricultural economies, our food supply, and surrounding landscapes would collapse. Pollinator Partnership's mission is North American in scope, conducting programs and projects in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

In 2015 Charleston Animal Society drew the line and became the first No Kill community in the Southeast. Charleston Animal Society is recognized as a model for shelters all over including France and New Zealand. The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been providing shelter for lost, abused and unwanted animals since 1887. The Society is the oldest and largest animal protection organization in New York's Capital Region, receiving an average of over 6,000 animals per year. To carry out our work for the animals, MHHS receives no ongoing funding from federal, state or local governments or any other animal welfare organization. We rely on your generous donations to support our vital services for the animals.

Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) is a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. CCI serves people all over the US with training centers in Northern and Southern California, Ohio, New York, and Florida, as well as dozens of volunteer groups and satellite offices. The National Park Foundation, in partnership with the National Park Service, enriches America’s national parks and programs through private support, safeguarding our heritage and inspiring generations of national park enthusiasts. NPF programs fund park conservation and restoration efforts, foster youth engagement, promote citizenship and preserve history in the places where it happened.
